Handmade Lokta Paper
Lokta paper is made from the inner bark of the Lokta bush. It is harvested in a similar manner to
sugarcane and regenerates to maturity again within a few years.
Handmade Mulberry Paper
Mulberry paper is made from the Mulberry tree. The small branches, one to three inches thick, are cut
from the tree and the bark is then stripped and dried. Once cut, the branches quickly grow back and
can be harvested again the following year, while the tree itself lives its natural course. Obtained in this
way from renewable sources, Mulberry paper is considered to be an environmentally friendly product..
Handmade Elephant Dung Paper
Paper from from elephant dung is 100% bacteria free, 100% odor free and 100% made from recycled
vegetation (literally!). Elephant dung is basically raw cellulose since an elephant's diet is strictly vegetarian.
After the dung is collected it is washed and disinfected using earth-friendly products (NO bleach!). After
the fiber is sorted it is boiled for about four hours to make it clean and soft. The boiled pulp is then put through
beaters. It is mixed with water, sieved and dried. Once dry, it is smoothed with a stone or calendering machine. Elephant dung paper has a papyrus-like quality

Chartham Translucent Vellum
Chartham Color Translucent Vellum Envelopes & Paper are made from natural vellum paper, which is made from pure cellulose fibers. It is recyclable, biodegradable, acid free, lignin free, and chlorine free.
