Notepad Holder

Gather together all the supplies you will need:

One square 1/4" thick wooden plaque (I got mine at the Dollar Store)

One piece of 8X8" patterned paper

Black and 5 other scraps of card stock

3X3 sticky notepad

Black ink

Quick Cutz "Folders"

Quick Cutz machine, sizzix or similar

Exacto knife

Cutting mat

Beaded ribbon (also from the Dollar Store)

Colored staples and stapler

White brads

Music note punch

Paper record (mine came from a birthday party I threw for my teen a couple of years ago. Yes I am a pack rat *smile*)

Alphabet stamps

Craft glue

Instructions

First step: Untie one end of the string in the back and pull out from the plaque. Set aside as we will be putting it back on later.

Cover the front side of the plaque with glue and place the patterned paper on top. Let dry. Once dry trim off the excess paper using the Exacto knife and the cutting mat.

Second step: From the back side of the plaque poke something sharp through the holes in the plaque. Turn the plaque over and using the same instrument, widen the holes to their original size.

Third Step:

Stamps the letters that spell "notes" on different colored scraps of card stock. Cut each letter into a square shape. They do not all have to be the same size. Punch out several music notes. Diecut the Quick Cutz folders. Attach the folders together using the white brads or other color of your choice.

Next, layout all the pieces on the plaque to find the arrangement you like. Once you have it the way you like, restring the piece of string. Glue all the pieces down.

Now is also a good time to do any "extras" such as using foam squares, inking the edges of card stock or aging the paper, distressing, etc.
