Valentine's Day Card
Gather together all the supplies you will need:
Clear acrylic album page of your choice
Stamps: I used Stampin Up's Tags & More
Adhesives:
Ribbon adhesive
Adhesive dots of your choice (I used WackyTac)
2 sizes of foam squares
Black ink
White card stock 8 1/2" X 5 1/2"
white floss
scissors
Rub-on (I used Bazzill Basics Fire hearts/kisses)
Copic markers:
Pink, red & green (I used RV34, R29, YG17)
D60 air can and air brush gun adapter
Paper distressor or sharp blade
White ribbon
Red rhinestone stickers (optional)
Instructions
First step: Fold the white cardstock in half and distress the 3 edges that are not folded. Run the paper distressor or sharp edge along the edges until they are as rough as you like.
Note: To make the edges look even more distressed pour a small amount of water into your palm and run the edges through the water. Then using your fingernails, rough up the edges more.
Second step: Using the red copic marker, ink the edges that you just distressed.
You can wait until the edges are completely dry, use a heat gun to dry them quicker or ink while still damp. The dampness will only cause a tiny amount of bleeding and adds character.
Third Step:
Using the air gun and the red copic marker spray the front of the card. Start dark on the left side and gradually lighten up as you move to the right.
Be sure the thick end of the marker is the one in the gun or it won't work correctly. You might also want to do a test spray on a piece of scrap paper first.
Fourth step:
Attach the ribbon to the left side of the card using the ribbon adhesive.
Fifth Step:
Place your rub-on where you want it on the card front and press firmly and move slowly using the supplies stick until the image is completely transferred.
Sixth Step:Thread the white floss through the heart buttons and adhere next to the ribbon. Use the adhesive dots
Seventh Step: Stamp the flowers three times on a scrap piece of white cardstock using the black ink. Color in using the copic markers and cut out.
Note: You don't need to cut on the black line, leave a little white around the edges of the images.
Eigth Step: Attach the flowers to the bottom of the card. I used the small foam squares on two of the flower groups and a large foam circle on one which I placed in the middle of the bottom two so it looks like it is higher up than the others.
Optional Step: Add rhinestone stickers as accent. Your done!
